Julie has broad management and people development skills, gained from a career which spans the not for profit, public and private sectors. She has recent experience of working both as a director of an organization alongside consultancy assignments, which provides up to date and practical first hand knowledge of the issues that companies face.
She frequently works with organisations which need to take the next step towards making their processes and people management a bit more professional but may not have all the skills in house, for instance reviewing the staffing and structure of an organisation where the team has grown organically but may now have high staff costs or inefficiencies in ways of working. She works with organisations requiring improvements to aspects of performance management, for instance, competency frameworks or appraisals, and frequently supports companies and individuals through redundancy and career transition.

She mentors or coaches individuals to bring out their potential, whether to help them motivate and influence others, to achieve their objectives, tackle performance issues or move to the next stage with their career. She is also skilled in developing job specifications and recruiting the right people.
When not at work Julie is a keen runner, a bee keeper and a member of an experimental theatre company. She was also a Games Maker at the 2012 Olympics and as recognition of her work as Workforce Operations Team Leader she was invited to meet the Prime Minister when he visited the venue.
